Expect a tasty, good time at the Westwood Area Chamber of Commerce’s 14th Annual Chowder Cook-Off tomorrow, January 13th, at the Westwood Visitor Center. The Westwood Chamber will be offering $700 in cash prizes for chowder contestants.
The Cook-Off will be held from noon until 3:00p.m. You can purchase a tasting kit for $5 beginning at noon.
The entry fee is $25 per team with cash prizes for first, second and third place, along with awards for Judge’s Choice and Peoples Choice.
If you are just going to taste some great chowder instead of cooking it, tasting kits go on sale at noon for only $5. Kits are limited.
The event promises fun for the entire family! Taste lots of great chowder, enjoy live music from Stone and Straw, plus a bounce house and vendors.
The event will be held outside, rain or shine, so dress warmly.
