A mechanical failure at the Honey Lake Valley Community Pool has forced swimmers out of the water and ended the swim season at the facility for the year according to City Public Works Director and HLVRA Executive Officer Rob Godman.
“The 2022 Honey Lake Valley Community Pool open season has come to an abrupt season end due to pump motor failure,” explained Godman in a press release Monday.
“The staff at the Honey Lake Valley Community Pool want to thank our community, swimmers, and patrons for their understanding on this early season closure.”
Godman noted that the pool had a successful season that included the Lassen Volcanoes Swim Team and the Lassen High School Swim Team both back in the water. The season opened in April and included additional program availability.
“The Honey Lake Valley Community Pool is looking forward to seeing everyone back in the water in 2023.”
