Lassen 4-H Ambassadors
Darcy truly is our friendly face of Lassen County 4-H! She has the kind of contagious smile that just makes it hard to have a bad day!
She has served as the 4-H Representative at the UC Cooperative Extension Office for as long as most of us can remember.
She oversees our local 4-H program and helps implement program curriculum and changes from the State 4-H Office. I am not sure if there’s a 4-H event of a fair that Darcy has missed in the last decade!
She was a 4-H member for nine years and served another twenty-one years as a volunteer leader. She was involved in beef, horse, clothing, community service and wildlife projects.
Darcy’s favorite memory while she was in 4-H was attending the 4-H State Convention and activities. Darcy enjoyed fair time as a kid, as a mother with her two sons Wyatt and Brad, and I’m sure won’t miss seeing her grandchildren follow suit.
The most important reasons kids should join 4-H, according to Darcy, is to learn leadership skills, meet different youth and adults in our community and to have responsibilities large than themselves.
To our lighthouse in every grey sky – thanks for all you do for Lassen County and our 4-H youth Darcy! Welcome to the Lassen County 4-H Hall of Fame. It is our sincere honor!
