While recently conducting a security check, staff at California Correctional Center found a duffle bag stuffed with more than $200,000 worth of drugs and cell phones.
On May 22 at 2:45 p.m., while checking the area next to CCC’s sewage ponds, staff discovered a black duffle bag.
Responding Investigative Services Unit staff took possession of the duffle bag and discovered it contained large quantities of various contraband items:
• 259.6 grams of Methamphetamine
• 433.4 grams of synthetic cannabinoids (known as spice)
• 10.5 grams of marijuana
• 74.4 grams of heroin
• 660.3 grams of tobacco
• 84 cellular phones
• 70 cellular phone chargers.
The combined estimated prison value of the items totaled $212,520.
