2nd Annual Career Opportunities Workshop Set for April 8th

5th District Lassen County Supervisor Jason Ingram will be hosting a special Career Opportunities Workshop on April 8th, with a goal of helping local youth better understand the opportunities available here in Lassen County.

This is the second year for the event, which is free to employers, and Ingram will personally set up booths for any employer who is interested in participating. Last year he had more than thrity-five employers and vendors, this year he wants to bring in more than 50.

“I will be providing breakfast and lunch for all of the employers and vendors,” explains Ingram. “The goal of this event is to raise awareness to our youth that there are Career Opportunities right here in Lassen County!”

Ingram’s concept is simple and straightforward.

“If we can hire our youth to help fill the job vacancies within the city and county it will be a win-win for everyone! It’s no secret one of our greatest exports is our youth, and I want to break that cycle.”

Ingram added that investing in our youth, in his opinion, is the same as investing in Lassen County’s future.

The workshop will be held at Lassen High School, 1110 Main Street, from 9:00a.m. until 2:45p.m. For more information call Supervisor Ingram at 1.530.249.6431.
