Janesville, one of Lassen County’s prettiest little towns, especially this time of year, is getting ready for their second annual Parade of Lights which begins at 6:00p.m., tomorrow December 9th and features a tree lighting and pictures with Santa.
The parade will travel down Main Street in Janesville, going from the Fire Hall to the Dollar General, back down Main Street to Janesville Grade, then back to the Fire Hall.
You can park along Main Street for a great view of the light parade.
After the parade there will be a tree lighting at the Fire Hall.
Santa and Mrs Claus will be available for pictures and there will be food vendors, weather permitting.
There will also be a silent auction and a gun raffle.
If anyone is interested in driving in the parade, vehicles must be decorated. Staging for the parade entrants is at 4:00p.m., at the Fire Hall. Entry fee is an unwrapped new toy or child’s coat, which will be distributed locally to Janesville students.
Side-by-side trailer parking is available at the Park-and-Ride in front of Janesville Chevron and in their parking lot for parade entrants.
