On September 26th, the Lassen County Office of Education hosted the annual Lassen County Professional Learning Day at Lassen Community College, drawing close to 300 educators from across the county for a day dedicated to engagement, collaboration and inspiration.
The event featured nationally recognized keynote speaker Jonathan Alsheimer, who energized attendees with strategies for student engagement and classroom culture.
Throughout the day, teachers and staff participated in a wide variety of learning sessions covering topics such as:
- Student Engagement & Math Instruction
- eduProtocols for classroom innovation
- CPR & First Aid certification
- Trauma-Informed Practices
- Behavior Management & School Climate
- Expanded Learning opportunities
This countywide gathering gave educators the opportunity to connect, share best practices, and strengthen their professional skills heading into the school year.
“Seeing nearly 300 educators come together in one space to learn, collaborate, and inspire each other was truly impactful,” said Patricia Gunderson, Lassen County Superintendent of Schools.
“The energy of the day reminded us of the incredible dedication of our educators and the importance of investing in professional learning that directly benefits our students.”
The event was supported by SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union, whose partnership helps make countywide learning opportunities possible for educators across Lassen County.
