It is time to celebrate a true Lassen County tradition! The Lassen County Office of Education is rolling out the red carpet for the 40th Annual Children’s Fair, and the whole community is invited to join the milestone festivities. This year’s event carries the heartfelt theme, “The Family That Plays Together, Grows Together,” and promises a day packed with memories, laughter and high-energy activities for local families.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 2nd, and head over to the Lassen County Fairgrounds between 10:00a.m. and 3:00p.m. As always, admission to this beloved community event is completely free.
The fairgrounds will be buzzing with activities for all ages. Kids can dive into the STEMTaught Hands-On Science Lab, test their skills in Nerf Wars and Laser Tag, or get creative at the Build It! Zone.
Music lovers won’t want to miss the Mr. Blue Shoes family concert, while those looking for a thrill can check out the LMUD Egg Drop Competition from 11:00a.m. to 1:00p.m.
From cookie decorating with Craftielady Cookies to flower arranging and the Kids Wonder Project, there is no shortage of hands-on fun. Plus, the Susanville CHP will be on-site with a car seat check station alongside a massive vehicle display for the little ones to explore.
