Please come dressed in your favorite game character.
The 4-H activities for the week are Monday – Go Green (wear green), Tuesday – Give a Clover, Wednesday – Show Gratitude (thank a 4-H staff person or volunteer), Thursday – 4-H for Good (share the ways you are supporting your community with 4-H), Friday – Flashback Friday ( 4-H alumni, families and friends: share your favorite 4-H memory), and Saturday – Grow Green (plant a seed or seedling).
Poster Contest
From September 15th to October 3rd, there is an individual poster contest where members of every club are encouraged to make a poster about 4-H or “Why Join 4-H” and hang it up in a local business.
The member will then take a photo of himself/herself with the poster. Send the picture to [email protected]. (Please write poster contest in the subject line). The winners of the poster contest will receive a prize at Achievement Night.
Window Display Contest
From September 15th to October 3rd, we will also have a window display contest. Clubs or individual members from clubs will go around and paint windows of local businesses that have agreed to participate in this contest. The windows will be painted to promote 4-H.
One club will receive a prize and will be announced at Achievement Night. Be sure to look on the Lassen County 4-H Facebook page to see what businesses want their windows painted. When you finish painting a window, please take a picture and send it to [email protected] (please write window display in the subject line).

The clubs had examples of all the projects they offer and highlighted activities and community services they do within their clubs. The ambassadors gave out root beer floats and informed new families about 4-H.
Officer Training
Officer Training went very well with many officers in attendance. Thank you to Cindy Weimer, Tamia Sanders, Julie Mallery, Molly Dickson, John Ammon, and Abbie Hemphill for teaching the upcoming officers about their positions.
We also learned meeting basics such as how to put an agenda together and how to properly make a motion. After completing officer training, we enjoyed pizza and drinks.
