The Historic Uptown Susanville Association’s Safe and Sane Halloween party in uptown Susanville was a big hit on Thursday with more than 1,000 ghosts, goblins, vampires and superheroes roaming Main Street and showing off their cool costumes.
There was a children’s costume contest, a pet costume contest along with music, dance performances from J and J Performing Arts and House of Dance and coffin races.
The Coffin Race team from the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office took home the championship trophy beating the Diamond Mountain Casino team.
