Homehold Win Tickets! Susanville Sunrise Rotary Wine Tasting This Week

Win Tickets! Susanville Sunrise Rotary Wine Tasting This Week

It’s a big week for the Susanville Sunrise Rotary as the club prepares for their 10th annual Wine Tasting event Friday night in Jensen Hall.

The yearly wine tasting has become tradition and is a major fundraiser for Sunrise Rotary, who takes that money and puts it right back into the community.

How much good can you do simply by buying tickets?
Sunrise Rotary has done a variety of different projects putting the money raised from the Wine Tasting back into the community.   They have done everything from sponsoring exchange students from France, serving lunch at the Boy Scout’s Derby, making a taco dinner at Relay for Life, repainting the the senior citizen’s center, and cutting wood to donate to the seniors.

“We are so excited about the event and we are so thankful people come out and support us so we can continue to do all the projects we do,” said Co-Chair Annette Silveria.

Susanville Sunrise Rotary was chartered in March of 2002 and the group’s first President was Ralph Sanders. Subsequent presidents have been Rob Kohrt, Arlin Billington, Craig Kellison, Jane Gardner, Mike Vivillacqua, Jim Miller, Lance Monath, Norman Mah and current President Jennifer Gorohoff.  The organization provides scholarships for the High School and the Community College every year!

“We couldn’t do it without our fantastic sponsors including Safeway, Susanville Supermarket IGA, Grocery Outlet and Mountain Meadows Mead and new this year Lassen Ale Works,” said Silveria.
