The Lassen County Chamber of Commerce’s gala holiday celebration takes place this Saturday along Main Street in uptown Susanville, complete with live entertainment, the Christmas Parade of Lights, Santa’s Grand Entrance and fireworks at the Elk’s Lodge!
The chamber’s yearly christmas party has become tradition in Susanville, with nearly two thousand people expected to show up to help welcome Santa to town.
The party starts December 7th at 5:00p.m. on Main Street, which will be closed to traffic for the event, and around 5:15 live entertainment begins.
Businesses in uptown will stay open late so you can browse and shop while getting into the festive spirit of the evening.
At 6:00p.m. the Magical Country Christmas parade will start, with floats, dancers and participants moving up Main Street to the tree in front of the Elk’s Lodge. The big finale of the parade will be the arrival of Santa and fireworks!
Temperatures are predicted to be on the cold side, and Chamber of Commerce director Patti Hagata reminds people to bundle up and dress for the cold. There will also be food, drink and plenty of hot chocolate and warm beverages to help warm you up.
