Get your tickets now for the 25th annual “Taste of Beef, Sip of Wine” wine tasting event.
As usual the event is sure to bring mouthwatering beef appetizers, hand picked quality wines, and a silent auction packed with items you won’t want to miss. Because it’s the 25th annual event, the Cattlewomen have planned some extra special additions.
This year Honey Lake Firearms and Guide Service and the Lassen County Cattlewomen are sponsoring a shotgun raffle. The Cattlewomen will be selling tickets at the event and only 100 tickets will be sold. The shotgun is a Winchester SX3 Compact (26″ barrel) 20 gauge shotgun. Leslie’s Jewlery will be engraving the gun with “2013 A Taste of Beef, A Sip of Wine, 25th Anniversary.”
Leona Parker has made rope wrapped vases for the tables to be used for door prizes. Fresh bouquets made by Holly Egan’s floral design students and silver 25th balloons will dress up the tables. Lassen County Cattlewomen will also be giving away 8-$25 gift certificates to purchase beef at either Idaho Grocery or Susanville Supermarket as door prizes. New cookbooks featuring the past Cow-A-Bunga contest winners from 2008-2012 will be free to attendees, as well as several beef recipe brochures.
The silent auction items will include several romantic get-away certificates, wine collections, beef certificates, gift baskets, and our original painting of the brand mural.
Funds raised support local scholarships, youth activities and agriculture in the classroom.
