The Lassen Humane Society is calling their annual St. Patrick’s Day Dinner Fundraiser a ‘wonderful success’ and event chairperson Christine Todd has a long list of Thank-Yous for the generous contributions and support of local businesses.
“Patty, Sam, and Bre Glass of Milwood Florist and Nursery, Treats Natural Pets Marketplace, and Farmers Insurance, for once again for providing the chef’s work for the dinner; thus, maintaining high standards for the dinner.”
“We would like to thank Susanville IGA for the wonderful rolls and cabbage. Thank you, Safeway for the delicious cookies. Grocery Outlet, thank you for the mustard, horseradish, tin foil and baggies. Model Dairy, thank you for the butter for the rolls. Thank you to Margie’s Book Nook for offering our meal tickets for sale. Thank you, Susanville Ace Hardware for the donation of the bags to carry the meals home in. This truly was a community effort.”

According to Todd the money earned from the annual dinner does go right back into the county to support spaying/neutering dogs, cats, the Pups on Parole program, and to assist pets in emergency situations.
