He’s big, he’s playful, and he’s ready for his new forever home! Come on down to the Lassen County Animal Shelter to meet and visit with Casper. At present, he’s our longest kennel resident and he’s eager to move on to the next chapter of his life. Casper is estimated to be about 2 years old and he still has some filling out to do. Potential adopters need to be prepared for a BIG dog and are advised to do research on guardian breeds; they aren’t for everyone.
Since arriving as a stray, Casper has been a good boy. He’s housebroke and will wait until staff arrives in the morning to let him out in the play yard to relieve himself. He knows the ‘sit’ command and has been doing well with other dogs he’s been introduced to. His one hiccup is putting his big paws up on you, as if his previous own might have taught him to ‘hug’.
Casper has been neutered, heartworm tested negative, and brought up to date on his vaccinations. If there are other dogs in a potential new home, staff highly recommends bringing them along for a meet and greet to ensure all dogs get along.
