Hey there. I’m Cosmo. A young, energetic guy with a working dog spirit and the drive to match. Sitting still? Not really my thing, I’m built for action, adventure, and having a job to do.
My previous owner said I’d “point” at birds, so there’s a good chance I’ve got some natural hunting instincts just waiting to be developed. With the right guidance (and maybe a seasoned dog to show me the ropes), I could really shine in that world. But even if hunting isn’t your thing, don’t worry—I’ll make an incredible adventure partner. Hiking, exploring, running… I’m all in.
I’m looking for an active home that understands dogs like me—one that will give me structure, purpose, and plenty of ways to burn off my energy. In return, you’ll get a loyal, fun-loving companion who’s always ready for the next big outing.

Featured animals at the Lassen County Animal Shelter are available for adoption on a first-come-first-serve basis. According to California law, all adoptable dogs and cats must be spayed and neutered before leaving our facility. If interested in adopting an animal, please contact the shelter directly.
