Adopt A Pet from the Lassen County Animal Shelter – Fred

Hi there, I’m Fred, a 5-month-old pup with a gentle heart and a little bit of a shy side. When we first meet I might take a moment to warm up, but once I realize you’re my friend, my sweet and playful personality really starts to shine.

I love hanging out with other dogs—they help me feel confident and show me that the world isn’t such a scary place. I’d be thrilled to have a doggy sibling to play and learn from!

Oh, and one more thing… I’m a bit of a talker. It’s the husky in me! Sometimes I like to chat about my day, tell you when I’m excited, or just join the conversation. The staff say it’s one of my cutest traits.

If you’re patient, kind, and looking for a loyal best friend who will grow more confident every day, I’d love to meet you. I’m just waiting for someone to give me the chance to be their forever pup.

Featured animals at the Lassen County Animal Shelter are available for adoption on a first-come-first-serve basis. According to California law, all adoptable dogs and cats must be spayed and neutered before leaving our facility. If interested in adopting an animal, please contact the shelter directly.

Current shelter hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Closed Saturday and Sunday. You can contact the shelter at 1.530.257.9200.
