Adopt A Pet from the Lassen County Animal Shelter – Leo

Leo is an all around happy guy even though he’s been through a lot. Life has definitely had its ups and downs for him, but he’s ready to start fresh and new. All he needs is a family to shower him with love and friendship.

From the first moment he sees a new face, Leo is all tail wags and smiles. Currently, Leo is housed with another dog (a female) that he came in with but more testing will need to be done to determine how he is with dogs he doesn’t know.

Potential adopters should be aware that Leo has been living on his own for a while and they should extend to him patience as he re-adjusts to home life again. Leo is thought to be a lab mix around 3 years old and is neutered. If interested in meeting Leo, or other adoptable animals at the Lassen County Animal Shelter, please call the staff at (530) 257-9200.

Featured animals at the Lassen County Animal Shelter are available for adoption on a first-come-first-serve basis. According to California law, all adoptable dogs and cats must be spayed and neutered before leaving our facility. If interested in adopting an animal, please contact the shelter directly.

Current shelter hours during the COVID-19 pandemic are Monday through Friday, 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Closed Saturday and Sunday. You can contact the shelter at 257-9200.
