The Lassen County Animal Shelter is excited to announce that as of the end of this week we’ve reached 152 adoptions this year! This means that we’ve surpassed the amount of adoptions we did last year. We’ll continue to remain strong and march forward into the last quarter of 2024, but we need the public’s help to keep showing up for these amazing animals and providing loving homes. You’ve been blowing us away!
This week our feature is Lilith!
This girl is all husky, through and through. She’s petite, athletic, talkative, and so very active. Lilith loves hanging out on top of the agility equipment in the play yard and playing with her doggy friends all day. She’s already watched a few of her shelter buddies get adopted; now its her turn to shine! Lilith is dog friendly and would make a fabulous addition to any husky pack. However, her perfect home needs to be cat free. Like many huskies, Lilith has a high prey drive and her relationship with cats is not friendly.
Lilith is spayed, UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and heartworm negative. If interested in learning more about Lilith, or other adoptable animals at the shelter, please contact staff at (530) 257-9200. Should there be dogs already in a prospective adopters home, please bring them along for a meet and greet to ensure a good fit.
Featured animals at the Lassen County Animal Shelter are available for adoption on a first-come-first-serve basis. According to California law, all adoptable dogs and cats must be spayed and neutered before leaving our facility. If interested in adopting an animal, please contact the shelter directly.
Current shelter hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Closed Saturday and Sunday. You can contact the shelter at 530.257.9200.
