Hi, I’m Mack. I’m a gentle soul who’s still learning that the world, and people can be kind. I can be pretty shy and unsure when we first meet, so I’ll need a patient home that will give me the time and space to feel safe and come out of my shell.
The good news? I love other dogs. Being around them helps me feel more confident, and I truly thrive with a canine friend by my side. I’m also cat-friendly, so I could fit right into a multi-pet home. The staff think I’d do best in a home with another dog to help show me the ropes and reassure me that everything’s okay.
Because I’m sensitive, older, respectful children would be the best fit for me. Once I trust you, I’ll be a loyal and loving companion—it just might take me a little time to get there.

Featured animals at the Lassen County Animal Shelter are available for adoption on a first-come-first-serve basis. According to California law, all adoptable dogs and cats must be spayed and neutered before leaving our facility. If interested in adopting an animal, please contact the shelter directly.
