Hi! I’m Poppy — your future professional cuddler and certified kiss-giver.
I’m what they call an All-American Dog, which basically means I’m a perfect blend of sugar, spice and everything nice. (with just a tiny sprinkle of zoomies)
My hobbies include:
- Giving sweet little kisses (free of charge — unlike my kissing booth!)
- Snuggling like it’s an Olympic sport
- Gazing lovingly into your eyes like you’re the only human on earth
- Being wherever you are… because obviously that’s where the party is
I absolutely adore people. Big people. People who drop snacks accidentally. You get the idea. If you sit down, I will politely (or enthusiastically) volunteer to be your lap dog. If you’re having a bad day, I will prescribe one Poppy cuddle and possibly a bonus smooch on the nose.
I’m sweet, silly, and ready to trade my kissing booth for a forever couch. All I need is a family who wants unconditional love, daily laughs and a built-in best friend.

Featured animals at the Lassen County Animal Shelter are available for adoption on a first-come-first-serve basis. According to California law, all adoptable dogs and cats must be spayed and neutered before leaving our facility. If interested in adopting an animal, please contact the shelter directly.
