Adopt A Pet from the Lassen County Animal Shelter – Tigger and Blue

0

Another busy week has come and gone at the Lassen County Animal Shelter and there are new faces searching for forever homes. This week we’re spotlighting Tigger and Blue: Best friends who met here at the shelter and highly look forward to their daily dose of play time.

Shelter staff has been gradually assessing and learning more about these boys. Each has their own quirks that make them unique and require potential adopters to be willing to practice patience in order to gain their trust. Once they feel safe, true personalities shine and their inner goofballs are unleashed.

Blue is a Doberman/Husky cross about a year old. He’s a timid boy who has not had much socialization with new people and would benefit from a patient adopter willing to show him how amazing the world can be. So far, he’s been doing well with other dogs at the shelter and his favorite friend is Tigger. They can happily play for hours. It’s so fun to watch his transformation from scared in the kennels to an outgoing and smiling dog out in the play yard with his new friend.

Tigger is a Mountain Cur cross. He’s estimated to be just under a year old, UTD on his vaccinations, and neutered. According to his previous owner, he’s lived with dogs and cats, yet has never been around children. It’s become evident that Tigger can be paired with any friendly dog at the shelter and they can have a great time. Much like Blue, he can be shy at first with people but since he’s been at the shelter longer he has become used to the routine and visitors who stop in to look at dogs available for adoption.

If interested in learning more about good boys Tigger and Blue, then come on down to the Lassen County Animal Shelter and spend some time with them out in the play yard. Even if you’re not adopting, shelter dogs appreciate the time taken out of your day to simply be with them. They crave connection with people. Some love to play. Others would prefer to just sit and cuddle.
