Adopt A Pet from the Lassen County Animal Shelter – Washington

0

The Lassen County Animal Shelter has more furry faces looking for forever homes. This week Washington is in the spotlight.

This handsome guy is looking for a home with an active lifestyle. He’s fast, athletic, and will play fetch until you’re tired of throwing the ball. Washington is a wonderful medium, compact size and would make a fabulous jogging or hiking buddy.

Washington came to the shelter as a stray, so his past history is unknown. During his stay, Washington has shown that he’s dog friendly. He’s made a few friends and loves to play chase, where other dogs chase him. Seriously, Washington is FAST. It can be hard for other dogs to keep up with him.

Washington is estimated to be a bit over a year old and he’ll be brought up to date on vaccinations and neutered prior to adoption. If interested in meeting Washington, please contact staff at 530.257.9200.

Additionally, if there are already other dogs in the home, staff recommends bringing them to the shelter for a meet and greet with new dog.

Featured animals at the Lassen County Animal Shelter are available for adoption on a first-come-first-serve basis. According to California law, all adoptable dogs and cats must be spayed and neutered before leaving our facility. If interested in adopting an animal, please contact the shelter directly.

Current shelter hours during the COVID-19 pandemic are Monday through Friday, 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Closed Saturday and Sunday. You can contact the shelter at 257-9200.
