Should anyone be thinking about adopting and bringing a new dog into their home, now is the ideal time for it. Kennels at the Lassen County Animal Shelter are full; dogs are even being doubled up to make space for newcomers. Our highlighted Pet of the Week is YOTE!
She’s big, fluffy, gentle, and eager to get out of the shelter with a new family to call her own. Yote is great with other dogs, cats, and has been patient with children she’s met during her stay. She has a spunky and playful side too, which comes out during play dates with other shelter dogs.
It’s estimated that Yote is about 3 years old. She’s spayed, UTD on her vaccinations, and heartworm negative. If interested in meeting Yote, or other adoptable animals at the shelter, please contact staff at (530) 257-9200. Additional photos and brief bios of adoptable shelter animals can be viewed on Petfinder.com.
Featured animals at the Lassen County Animal Shelter are available for adoption on a first-come-first-serve basis. According to California law, all adoptable dogs and cats must be spayed and neutered before leaving our facility. If interested in adopting an animal, please contact the shelter directly.
Current shelter hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Closed Saturday and Sunday. You can contact the shelter at 530.257.9200.
