Adopt A Pet from the Lassen County Animal Shelter

The animals at the Lassen County Animal Shelter, 472-000 Johnstonville Road, would love to meet you! Kennel Technician Jaime Proia says, “Come on in and say hi!”

Kennels at the shelter are at maximum capacity, with some dogs even doubled up and sharing space.

“Now it the perfect time to find your new forever friend,” explains Proia, who adds that, “Kennels are full, animals are in need and adoption fees are affordable.”

All altered shelter animals come spayed/neutered, UTD on vaccinations and heartworm/leukemia tested negative.

148 adoptions were done in 2023 according to the shelter, who say they are already at 93 adoptions for 2024.

Adoption fees for altered dogs is a $25 donation plus the cost of a license. Altered cats are a $20 donation.

Adoptable dogs can also be viewed by clicking here and heading over to petfinder.com.

The shelter can be reached at 1.530.257.9200.
