Adopt A Pet Today from the Lassen County Animal Shelter – Cara

Cara

Look at that face!

Cara is a five-year-old Dogue de Bordeaux, also known as a French Mastiff. She was busy visiting vet offices last week and now she’s ready to meet prospective adopters.

This little lady is a petite size for her breed, coming in at just under 70 pounds. She can be shy at first but once she comes out of her shell she’s all play and snuggles. Cara loves stuffed animals and receiving lots of love and attention.

Cara would do best as the only animal in the home. For more information on Cara, or other adoptable animals at the shelter, please call shelter staff at 530.257.9200.

Featured animals at the Lassen County Animal Shelter are available for adoption on a first-come-first-serve basis. According to California law, all adoptable dogs and cats must be spayed and neutered before leaving our facility. If interested in adopting an animal, please contact the shelter directly.

Current shelter hours during the COVID-19 pandemic are Monday through Friday, 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Closed Saturday and Sunday. You can contact the shelter at 257-9200.
