Adopt A Pet Today from the Lassen County Animal Shelter – Kia

Kia is a recent surrender to the Lassen County Animal Shelter. She’s petite, perfectly compact, and adorable. Kia is the only medium sized dog currently at the shelter. Despite being timid at first, she warms up quickly and is a friendly girl. Kia is always ready for pets and snuggles.

Kia was surrendered along with Duke, who can be viewed on petfinder.com, however, the two will be rehomed separately. Kia resource guards her toys from Duke and due to this staff feels that she would do best as the only dog in a home. Additionally, children in the home should be older and respectful. Kia is looking for a family to love, spoil, and pamper her forever. If interested in meeting Kia, please call the Lassen County Animal Shelter at (530) 257-9200.

Featured animals at the Lassen County Animal Shelter are available for adoption on a first-come-first-serve basis. According to California law, all adoptable dogs and cats must be spayed and neutered before leaving our facility. If interested in adopting an animal, please contact the shelter directly.

Current shelter hours during the COVID-19 pandemic are Monday through Friday, 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Closed Saturday and Sunday. You can contact the shelter at 257-9200.
