Adopt A Pet Today from the Lassen County Animal Shelter – Nova

Nova is an ‘out of this world’ dog and she’s looking for her forever family!

Nova is perfectly compact and would make a fabulous hiking or camping companion. She’s the type of dog that will accompany you on adventures with a smile on her face and happy tail wags the whole time. She’s barely a year and a half old, spayed, and current on her vaccinations. Further evaluation is needed to determine how Nova does with other dogs, though her previous owner stated that her new home should be cat free. This girl has spunk and lots of positive playful energy. She enjoys flipping stuffed toys into the air and fetching for her person. She’s quick, agile, and so much fun to hang out with.

Children in Nova’s new home should be 12+. She’s house and crate trained and even knows a handful of basic commands. If interested in learning more about Nova, or other adoptable animals at the shelter, please call staff at (530) 257-9200.

Featured animals at the Lassen County Animal Shelter are available for adoption on a first-come-first-serve basis. According to California law, all adoptable dogs and cats must be spayed and neutered before leaving our facility. If interested in adopting an animal, please contact the shelter directly.

Current shelter hours during the COVID-19 pandemic are Monday through Friday, 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Closed Saturday and Sunday. You can contact the shelter at 257-9200.
