Adopt A Pet Today from the Lassen County Animal Shelter – Roxy

UPDATE: Roxy has been transferred to a rescue

Lassen County Animal Shelter – Roxy

Sweet Roxy girl is looking for her forever family!

This sweetheart has kind, soft eyes and is curious about the world around her. She can be uncertain and timid around new faces, but she’s quick to warm up with soft words and treats. After that, and trust is achieved, she comes out of her shell. It turns out that she’s a SNUGGLER. Big time!

Roxy loves babies, small children, cats, and gets along with dogs as well. She can be a bit apprehensive around other dogs at first, due to negative past experiences, but having a human at her side to show her things are okay seems to help her through introductions. A family home may be just the right fit for her.

She’s 17 months of age and has a vet appointment Monday, February 1st. Roxy will be spayed, brought up to date on her vaccinations, and heartworm tested. For more information on Roxy or other adoptable animals, please call the Lassen County Animal Shelter at 257-9200.

Featured animals at the Lassen County Animal Shelter are available for adoption on a first-come-first-serve basis. According to California law, all adoptable dogs and cats must be spayed and neutered before leaving our facility. If interested in adopting an animal, please contact the shelter directly.

Current shelter hours during the COVID-19 pandemic are Monday through Friday, 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Closed Saturday and Sunday. You can contact the shelter at 257-9200.
