AFWD and CHP Holding Officer Recruitment Workshop

chprecruitafwdInterested in a career with the California Highway Patrol? The Alliance for Workforce Development is hosting a free informational workshop presented by staff from our local CHP office on Wednesday, June 25th at 10:00a.m.

The CHP will be accepting applications in July from individuals interested in a career as an officer and are looking to hire cadets from a pool of applicants to fill vacant officer positions throughout the state.

“We are looking for members of our communities to join one of the most well-known law enforcement agencies in the world,” said CHP Commissioner Joe Farrow. “The CHP is looking for men and women who represent the diverse communities that we serve to provide the highest level of Safety, Service, and Security to the people of California.”

Rare 4-Day Application Period

The CHP will be accepting applicants during a 4-day period beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, July 7th, and ending at 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 10th, 2014. This brief application period marks the first time this year the CHP has accepted applications.

The workshop at the Business and Career Network on Chestnut Street in Susanville will give candidates information on several important facets of the CHP’s hiring process.
