Lassen Ale Works, historic uptown Susanville’s favorite brewpub, announced this week that they have received a Certificate of Excellence award from Tripadvisor.com for the second year in a row. The award celebrates excellence in hospitality and is given only to establishments that consistently achieve great traveler reviews on TripAdvisor.
What does that mean?
The technical answer according to TripAdvisor is that ‘when selecting Certificate of Excellence winners, TripAdvisor uses a proprietary algorithm to determine the honorees that takes into account the quality, quantity and recency of reviews and opinions submitted by travelers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period as well as business’s tenure and ranking on the Popularity Index on the site.’
The simple answer? To qualify, Lassen Ale Works maintained an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, had more than the minimum number of reviews and was listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months. The rating criteria sets the bar high and the award is not easy to come by.
