The Lassen County Farm Bureau, Every Bloomin’ Thing and Bullseye Recycling have teamed up to once again bring microbrew and blues to Lassen County on August 11th at 5:00 pm. during their fourth annual Blues and Brews Festival.
At the Susanville Blues and Brews Festival one can enjoy a tasty sip of microbrew, the sweet sounds of blues, and tri-tip – and enjoy it all in the relaxing atmosphere of Every Bloomin’ Thing nursery.
“This year we have built an entertainment area on the grassy area at Every Bloomin’ Thing and we will have local micro-brew from Susan River Brewing Company and Lassen Ale Works,” said Willis Dow, chairman of the event and Farm Bureau president.
You can relax among friends and enjoy a summer evening with the sounds of two blues bands, Red Moon Band out of Brown’s Valley and Inn Cahootz out of the Auburn area.
Pair your micro-brew with a delicious tri-tip dinner cooked to perfection, and after you have filled your belly, satisfied your pallet and danced the night away, a safe ride home will be provided by Susanville Taxi who will be on site.
“Without agriculture, we don’t have anything,” said Dow. “These events help us raise the funds to continue to educate people about there their food comes from as well as support our local youth.”
Tickets can be purchased at Every Bloomin’ Thing and pre-sale tickets are $30-(adult)/$15-(21 & under) and include unlimited microbrew tasting, a mug, tri-tip dinner, and blues entertainment. For ticket information call 257-7242.
