Annual Farm Bureau Blues and Brews Festival Still Happening Saturday

Despite forest fires and smoky skies the Lassen County Farm Bureau and Every Bloomin’ Thing Nursery will bring you a fantastic evening of microbrew and blues tomorrow night, August 7th, from 5:00 to 11:00p.m. at their annual Blues and Brews Festival scholarship fundraiser.

At the Farm Bureau’s annual fundraiser you can enjoy a tasty sip of hand-crafted beer, the sweet sounds of blues and tri-tip, while at the same time helping to support local scholarships. Each year the Farm Bureau contributes nearly $10,000 to our community through scholarship awards and events geared towards supporting local kids pursuing careers in agriculture.

The evening is fun and relaxed – bring your friends and lawn chairs and dance to blues music by fan favorites ‘Soul Posse.’

Along with the music you can enjoy a fabulous tri-tip BBQ, with the finest regionally produced beers.

The festival is held in the gorgeous outdoor wonderland at Every Bloomin Thing Nursery, 705-670 US Hwy 395 E., and tickets are available at Every Bloomin Thing locations in Susanville and in Chester. Tickets are $35 and admission for those under 21 is $25.

Free rides home will be provided by the Farm Bureau.

For ticket information call 251-2330 or 310-0453. To find out more click here and visit the Farm Bureau on Facebook.
