Lassen County’s District 3 Supervisor Jeff Hemphill and the Janesville Town Council will be hosting their annual steak fry this Friday evening, June 17th, at the Janesville Community Park to honor the memory of Dr. Richard Meinert – a well-liked member of the community who was killed in June of 2014 at his Janesville veterinary office under mysterious circumstances.
The event will feature live music by Jake and Emily Nolan, the Gnarly Pints, and there will be a drawing for a Stihl FS110-R Weed and donations from local artists.
Tickets for the steak fry are $25 for adults and $12.50 for children and seniors. Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the Dr. Rich Meinert Memorial Scholarship and advance tickets are available at Artisan Coffee, Idaho Grocery, Margie’s Book Nook and Rooptown Bicycles. Tickets will also be sold at the event.
The barbecue will run from 5:00 to 8:00 at LLoyd Keefer park. For more information you can contact Artisan Coffee at 253-3000.
