Who doesn’t love to appreciate somebody, or be appreciated? For the month of February, the Lassen County Probation Department’s Appreciation Hearts fundraiser will give community members a chance to send a ‘bucket of hearts’ to a person they appreciate, while contributing to a great cause!
Money raised will help sponsor community events like the Law Enforcement Torch Run, Stuff the Bus and Holiday with a Hero.
“Lassen County Probation Department is proud to sponsor community events each year,” explains organizer Calli Oxford.
“In the past, we have been able to sponsor the Law Enforcement Torch Run, Courage Triathlon, Out of the Darkness Suicide Prevention Walk, Dancing for a Brand New Me, Lassen Clay Breakers, and more!”
The staff at the Probation department get the fun job of delivering the big bucket of appreciation to lucky recipients.
“It is truly a blessing for our staff to go out into the community in February and make somebody’s day by delivering the buckets of hearts – we encourage everybody who receives a bucket to ‘pay it forward’ to somebody else!”
If a $20 or more donation is made, that person will also receive a sweet treat!
