Over the course of the last 22 years, SusanvilleStuff.com has become Lassen County’s most influential media source, reaching an average of 35,000 people each day. 35,000 people who visit, read our local stories, and see our little corner of the world through the lens of SusanvilleStuff.
We are a small, family-owned news and information source and our commitment is to our friends and neighbors, with the goal of creating the best, all-around, most reliable content for our local readers, while at the same time highlighting what makes Susanville and Lassen County so incredibly unique for readers from out of the area.
Why We Need Reader Support and Why Every Little Bit Helps
Our independent, local coverage takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. We work around the clock to keep you informed whenever something important happens.
While we make a significant portion of our money from advertising revenues, these days, with certain economic realities that we face in Lassen County, those can only go so far to support what we do. Every single dollar that our readers contribute goes towards making SusanvilleStuff a stronger voice in the community with better, more comprehensive content.
Our Commitment to Not Raising Our Ad Rates
We understand that our advertisers are having to adjust and budget for a changing local economy, and we completely empathize with them – the last thing we want to do is raise our advertising rates, (something we have not done since 2012) which means we have to ask our readers to help share more of the burden.
If you are able, we ask our readers to support us with either a voluntary subscription or a one-time contribution. We only do this one time each year during our November Subscription Drive and try not to bug you the rest of the year. If you can’t afford to contribute we completely understand and you are still more than welcome to enjoy SusanvilleStuff.
We are committed to never putting up a paywall for our readers, and the content on SusanvilleStuff will always be free. These subscriptions are completely voluntary, and very appreciated.
