The Lassen County Arts Council is looking for artwork from talented high school aged artists for their upcoming High School Art exhibit at the gallery on Cottage Street.
Local high schoolers are encouraged to submit sculptures, ceramics, fiber arts, photography, graphic arts, woodworking, drawings, welding, writing, oils or watercolors – all are welcome.
“The Lassen County High School Show is intended to showcase any mediums of art from all high school age students from all high schools/charter schools in Lassen County,” explains Arts Council Vice President and Programming Director Jolene Arredondo.
“We are always trying to reach out to artists outside Susanville and this show, every year, tries to get the local charter schools and high schools to participate – not just Lassen High.”
Art must be ready for display for the exhibit, which is scheduled to begin April 15th. Artwork will hang in the gallery from April 15th through May 4th.
The Arts Council will be collecting artwork on April 1st.
