Assemblyman Dahle Comments on California’s New Budget

Assemblyman Brian Dahle responded to Monday’s passage of the 2015 state budget with a brief and tersely worded statement released through his office.

“I wanted to support this budget and was hoping that as we went through the process there would be a way to get more rural California priorities included,” said Dahle on Monday.

According to Dahle’s office last year’s budget was a record $108 billion, and this year it is $117 billion.

“Our budget priorities this year should include enacting measures to create jobs, stimulate the economy, fix our schools and speed up the construction of new water storage projects, explains the Assemblyman. “Issues like unfunded liabilities can’t continue to be swept under the rug.”

“There are many trailer bills that still have to go through the legislative process in the coming weeks. I hope to play a role and positively influence how they turn out.”

Assemblyman Dahle represents California’s 1st Assembly District, which contains all of Lassen, Modoc, Nevada, Plumas, Sierra, Siskiyou, and Shasta Counties, and portions of Butte and Placer Counties.
