“Every now and then there is a runner who is inspirational in all aspects of life,” says Linda Powell, organizer of the recent Paiute Meadows Trail Run. “It was a sheer pleasure to present 84-year-old, highly accomplished, Susanville local runner, Martin Balding with our first ‘Spirit of the Meadow’ award!”
According to Powell, Balding has run the Paiute Meadows Half Marathon for the past 5-years and has run the original Paiute for over 20-years.
