Banner Lassen Medical Center wants physical therapy clients to put their energy in to getting well, not getting to the clinic. That’s why hospital leaders are opening a new, conveniently located Outpatient Rehabilitation Clinic in Susanville.
The clinic, formerly located inside Banner Lassen Medical Center, has moved to 2940 A Riverside Drive. It is located across the street from a Lassen Rural Bus stop and offers parking right outside the clinic door. Therapists will begin seeing patients there April 4th.
“The journey to becoming well doesn’t end just because someone no longer is hospitalized,” said physical therapist Kai Scott, who will serve as the director of rehabilitation for Banner Health’s Western Region. “Helping our clients reach their highest level of function through therapy and exercise is a priority in our organization. This new building with large windows for natural light, more space and new equipment is evidence of that.”
The therapists at the Outpatient Rehabilitation Clinic will focus on helping a person regaining functional abilities by using hands-on techniques and specialized exercise equipment. They see patients who are recovering from surgery, an injury or illness including stroke.
To learn more about the services available and the benefits therapy can provide, attend the clinic open house from 4:00 to 7:00p.m. April 7th. Guests will have the chance to visit with therapists, tour the clinic and see the new equipment.
