Bartell’s Backroads Stops for a Visit at the Lassen Historical Museum

When John Bartell, from Sacramento’s ABC10 Television comes to town you can bet he will find something interesting to talk about. With dozens of videos on YouTube covering places of interest in northern California and southern Oregon it’s no wonder he eventually found his way to Susanville – stopping by the Lassen Historical Museum and Roop’s Fort for a short visit in July.

Bartell dropped by the museum and spent time looking at some of the more unique items in the collection – a wooden leg found along the immigrant trail, a shotgun shell-loaded coyote deterrent, and a pair of monkey fangs extracted by a local dentist to mention a few.

The Lassen County Historical Society’s Secretary and board member Susan Couso gave Bartell the tour, highlighting bits and pieces of Lassen County’s past 170 years for the video which aired on Channel 10 in Sacramento and also streams on Youtube.
