Baseball: Renegades beat Chico

The Susanville Renegades beat the undefeated Chico Nuts 3-2 in the bottom of the ninth inning at Memorial Park on Tuesday night. Adrik Yacelga Led off the bottom of the ninth with a single. He then stole second and advanced the third on a passed ball. With one out Travis Fuller pushed a bunt up the first baseline scoring Yacelga for the walk off win.

Yacelga and Jarrell Cunningham each had two hits , and Garison Collier and Hunter Morris each drove in a run. Cunningham started the game and went five innings, giving up one run. Donald Wanner pitched a scoreless sixth inning and Colby Chavez pitched the last three innings giving up one run and picking up the win. The Renegades had no errors and turned three double plays in the game.

The 17u Renegades host the Thomas Tucker all wood bat tournament at Memorial Park this weekend. Susanville plays Friday at 1:00pm and 6:00pm and again Saturday at 10:30am and 6:00pm.
