The Redding Sun Devils won both games of a double-header at Memorial Park on June 7th against the Susanville Renegades. In the opener Susanville lost 6-2 despite a good pitching effort by Izak Davenport. Poor fielding and lack of hitting hurt the Renegades.
Susanville only managed five hits, one apiece by Davenport, Hunter St. Andre, Kobe Jackson, Spencer Lee, and Jagger Delgado.
In the second game the Renegades again got some pretty good pitching, but failed to play defense and get some timely hitting. Tommy Sharpe, Spencer Lee, Jacob Bennett and Kobe Jackson all did a good job on the mound. Tommy Sharpe got three hits and Hunter St Andre and Colton Surian each got one.
The Renegades travel to Sutter on June 14th and 15th for a tournament. Then return home for the Thomas Tucker Tournament on June 19-21st. Susanville plays at 1:00 and 6:00 on each of those days.
