This past weekend the 6th grade Triple Threat girls competed in the Cinco De Madness tournament in Chico. The first game was against the Hot Shots from Redding.  The girls came out smoking taking a 20-14 lead in the 1st half and never looked back winning the game 47-26.  High scorers were Taylor Nethery with 11 points and 3 rebounds. Acelyn Mccullough added 8 points and 5 boards.  Rylee Friddle dominated the boards with 8.  Katie Parady scored 4 points and 3 steals.  Taylor Sommerville had 3 rebounds and 1 steal.

The second game was played against the Sure Shots from Sacramento.  Triple Threat came up short in this contest losing 31-25. Rylee Friddle was the leading scorer with 8 points and 7 rebounds.  This was a very close game and was a true test of character.
The third game pitted Triple Threat against NEA (Never Enough Athletics) from Chico.  Triple Threat went into halftime losing 12-14.  After some small adjustments the girls came out with some intensity only allowing NEA to score 4 points the second half. High scorer was Taryn Giacomelli with 7 points and 8 rebounds.  Ronnie Merrill added 6 points and 7 boards.  Reegan Floyd added 7 rebounds and 3 steals.  Autry Satica had 4 points and 5 assists.
The girls took 2nd place in this tournament.
This was the last tournament of the year for these girls.  Out of the five tournaments for the season the girls brought home five 2nd place titles.  Coach Mike Giacomelli and Doug Satica would like to thank the parents for getting the girls to and from practice and games all season. We are looking forward to next year and continued success!
