Basketball: Lassen College Men Beat Redwoods

The Lassen College men’s basketball team beat Redwoods 88-76 on February 6 here at the college’s sports complex to move into 2nd place in the Golden Valley Conference. The women fell to Redwoods 47-77.

During halftime of the women’s game and men’s game 3 student from Diamond View School got to participate in a half court shoot for $100.00. Participants get a chance to make a half court shot to win $100.00. If they don’t make it, they get a LCC Baseball player, to spin around 5 times on a baseball bat then try and make a 3 point shot for $20.00. Then with the remaining time left they get to try and make layups for $1.00 each.

The 2 girls were, Lauren Hall and Elora Stalter. None of the students made the half court shot. But LCC Baseball Player Evan Erskine made his 3 point shot.

The 3 boys were, Joshua Harlow, Isaac Zalensy and Derek Anderson. DEREK ANDERSON made his half court shot and took home the $100.00 prize.
