Vitalant has announced two major opportunities for Susanville residents to roll up their sleeves and make a lifesaving difference this winter. With critical shortages often occurring around the holidays, the community is being asked to come together to help replenish the supply.
The Need is Constant
Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. That statistic represents real people—it could be a little girl in the ICU, an accident victim, or a mother battling Stage 3 leukemia. Your single donation can save up to three lives.
If you’ve never donated because you’re worried about needles, put those fears aside! Most blood donors compare the experience to nothing more than a mild, split-second pinch. The entire process is very safe, very fast, and you will walk away feeling amazing knowing you have directly impacted the lives of others.
Here are the details for the two upcoming opportunities to donate:
Susanville Holiday Blood Drive (Community Center)
Help meet the critical need during the holiday season at the first Community Center Blood Drive! As a special bonus, donors who give blood between December 1st and December 31st are automatically entered for a chance to win $20,000.
Susanville Community Center 95 N. Weatherlow Street
Tuesday, December 16: 10:00a.m. to 2:30p.m.
Wednesday, December 17th: 10:00a.m. to 2:00p.m.
Annual January Community Blood Drive (LDS Church)
Kick off the new year by being a lifesaver. Join the annual community drive at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Gym) 905 Richmond Road
Tuesday, January 20th: 12:00p.m. to 5:30p.m.
Wednesday, January 21st: 8:30a.m. to 12:30p.m.
