School starts today for kids all over Lassen County and Susanville Police Chief Kevin Jones is reminding drivers to watch out for the little ones as they make their way to school.
“Folks, today marks the beginning of schools for our local area,” said Jones this morning. “The Susanville Police Department will be at maximum enforcement patrols in all of our school zones, with a zero tolerance to traffic violations.”
The Police Department will join both the Susanville School District and Lassen High School in promoting the safety of local kids as they begin the school year.
Chief Jones said that the department will be enforcing all traffic laws in and around local school zones.
“We appreciate everyone who helps us in this effort and spreads the word to keep our youth safe going to and from our schools.”
