Dust off your lawn chairs and get your instruments ready – the 15th Annual Susanville Bluegrass Festival is officially set to bring the best in bluegrass music to the Lassen County Fairgrounds this summer. Taking place from June 26th through June 28th, this beloved local tradition is shaping up to be an unforgettable weekend of picking, grinning and community fun.
This year’s festival boasts an incredible array of talent, featuring a special guest appearance by Dave Stamey. Throughout the weekend, attendees will also be treated to performances by Spring Street, Southern Legacy, The Sonoran Dogs, The Music Bachs, the Erik John Thomas Band, Eddy B and Pure Country Plus, the Edgar Loudermilk Band and The Rough Edges.
The festivities actually kick off a few days early with the Music Camp, held June 23rd through the 25th. It is a fantastic opportunity to sharpen your skills with guitar, banjo, mandolin, bass, and vocal classes taught by some of the best instructors in the bluegrass world.
If you are looking to get creative, the popular Quilt Room, sponsored by the Country Pines Quilt Shop, will be back, so make sure to bring your sewing machine. You can work on your latest project while enjoying the festival music broadcast right into the room.
