Here is something fun to do this weekend! J and J Performing Arts presents their Hollywood Vibe show this Friday and Saturday, May 10th and 11th, at 7:00.p.m in the Lassen College Sports Complex featuring performers and artists from all over the country.
With hip-hop, jazz, contemporary and modern numbers the dancers will catch your eye and take your breath away. J and J Performing Arts dancers and soloists will be featured as well as dancers from all over the community.
“Hollywood Vibe is going to be a concert based show,” explains J and J Performing Arts Director Jessica Newton Wade, “Pop hits that everyone loves to hear and sing. The show will include many different ages.”
The director brings her signature dance style to the show, and promises us a great line-up of talented performers including Ben Wade, Dennis Roberts, Stu Speers and Greg Dood.
Ben Wade, Artistic Director and Conductor of the Susanville Symphony and soccer coach at Lassen College will show off his singing abilities!
Well known for his years of teaching kids the art of performing, and as the leader of the percussion section of the Susanville Symphony, Dennis Roberts will be playing the heartfelt numbers on the piano.
Stu Speers, a well known guitar player who has performed throughout the county, will be accompanied by a student in a beautiful dueling duet.
Greg Dood, who is well known for his Beatles tribute band Penny Lane, will be playing bass in on some of biggest numbers.
Allison Templeton from Crow’s Nest Studio will be gracing us with her artwork, presented digitally on the big screen.
Stephanie Blakeman Photography has designed album covers for display and her creative designs set the stage for Hollywood Vibe.
DJ Fiend, who has performed in clubs all over the northstate will be there to mix some of your favorite tunes along with newcomer Michael Vaquera who will be debuting his DJ skills.
