Susan River Realty Has Moved!

There is a fresh sign on the block! Susan River Realty has officially moved into their new office located at 1440 Main Street in Susanville. The team spent the weekend settling into the new space and is now fully operational and ready to serve the community.

Local Expertise, New Location
While the address has changed, the agency’s deep-rooted commitment to Lassen County remains the same. Susan River Realty’s dedicated and knowledgeable staff continues to offer the trusted guidance that local buyers, sellers, and investors have come to rely on.

Whether you are navigating the market for the very first time or you are a seasoned investor looking for the next big opportunity, their team is equipped to handle a wide range of property needs, including first-time home buyers who are navigating the path to homeownership, help finding that perfect piece of Northern California quietude in a rural retreat, expert insight into the local property market or strategic marketing to get your home seen and sold.

Stop By and Say Hello
The move marks an exciting new chapter for the agency, and they invite the community to come by, check out the new office and meet the professionals behind the name.

OnPoint Supply Opens on Main Street

There is a new face on Main Street, and it’s one rooted in four generations of trade experience and a deep commitment to the Lassen County community. OnPoint Supply, located at 1107 Main St. Ste D, is officially open for business, offering a local solution for plumbing, HVAC, and electrical needs.

Founded by brothers Jordan and Warren Guess, OnPoint Supply isn’t just another retail outlet; it is a mission-driven hub designed to keep local projects moving without the constant need for long-distance travel or frustrating shipping delays.

Deep Roots and Disciplined Service
The Guess brothers bring a powerhouse of experience to the table, backed by four generations of family plumbing history and over 15 years of successful business ownership. They know the trades from the inside out, but the business also carries a proud badge of military service. Jordan Guess served 13 years in the Air Force Civil Engineering Squadron, a background that informs the company’s disciplined, “mission-focused” approach to logistics and support.

The name “OnPoint” itself holds a special dual meaning for the owners. As avid upland bird hunters and experienced hunting dog owners, the term refers to a dog that is locked in and focused on its target. In a business context, it reflects their commitment to being “on point” with service, reliability and performance for every customer who walks through the door.

A Revitalized Local Resource
The new location at 1107 Main Street has undergone a total transformation to better serve the community. The building was significantly renovated to include a modern interior space for product displays, an organized warehouse for efficient inventory management, and exterior enhancements that provide a clean, professional appearance. These updates were carefully designed with both professional contractors and walk-in homeowners in mind, ensuring that everyone can access materials and get expert assistance quickly to keep their projects on track.

Before OnPoint Supply opened, Lassen County residents often had to drive out of the area for essential parts. By filling this gap, the brothers provide high-quality materials at competitive prices right here at home. As a veteran-owned, tribal-owned and family-operated business, OnPoint is also uniquely positioned to support state and local contracting through Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise participation, creating new economic opportunities for the region.

Comprehensive Supplies and Future Growth
The shelves at OnPoint are stocked with plumbing supplies, HVAC equipment, and electrical materials from industry-leading brands such as Moen, Navien and Lennox. Beyond just selling parts, they offer jobsite delivery and specialized sourcing assistance to ensure contractors have exactly what they need to finish the job.

Looking toward the future, Jordan and Warren aim to become the premier supply house for the surrounding areas by broadening their product lines and expanding their relationships with local businesses. More than just a store, OnPoint Supply represents a commitment to investing back into Susanville. To learn more or discuss an upcoming project, you can find the OnPoint Supply team at the Spring Show on April 25th, where they look forward to meeting their neighbors and helping the community stay “on point.”

Peterson Cat Coming to Town

A new era of heavy equipment sales and service is arriving in Lassen and Plumas counties. Peterson Cat, the authorized Caterpillar dealer for Northern California, Oregon and Southwest Washington, has officially acquired the local territory formerly served by Empire Cat.

While the transition became official on April 1st, the company is already making major moves to establish a permanent home in the heart of Lassen County. Peterson has announced plans to open a brand-new store on Riverside Drive in Susanville this June, with a grand opening celebration slated for late summer.

Supporting the Community Immediately
Though the physical storefront is still preparing for its June debut, Peterson Cat is not waiting to start serving local customers.

“We want to begin supporting our new customers as soon as possible,” said Todd Gilligan, Executive Vice-President of Earthmoving at Peterson. “We have two fully stocked branches nearby to see them through until we open our new branch on Riverside Drive this summer.”

Until the local location opens its doors, local contractors, loggers, and ranchers can access parts, service and sales through Peterson’s nearby branches in Redding and Chico.

Comprehensive Services for Local Industries
The arrival of Peterson Cat brings a robust suite of services to the region. The company provides:

Sales & Rentals: Full access to the Cat heavy equipment line, as well as rental options through Cresco Cat Rentals.

Specialized Machinery: Beyond traditional yellow iron, Peterson offers Weiler paving and forestry machines, International trucks, and Trimble technology—essential tools for the local construction and timber industries.

Power Systems: Portable and stationary diesel-powered Cat generators to keep local operations running.

Genuine Parts & Expert Service: Local access to the parts and factory-trained technicians needed to minimize downtime.

A Legacy of Service
Peterson Cat is a family-owned business with a 90-year history. With a workforce of approximately 1,800 people and a service area covering over 100,000 square miles, they bring deep expertise and a long-term commitment to the communities they join.

Welcome to Susanville
To help local residents and business owners navigate the transition, Peterson has launched a dedicated landing page specifically for the new territory. You can find more information on their locations, capabilities, and upcoming Susanville branch at petersoncat.com/susanville.
